Area Rugs for Living Room

Really soft underfoot

This sits well with the backing that has a measure of grip so it doesn't slide around at all. It is fairly thin and so it is easy to manoeuvre. The colour is much like the pictures with a mixture of dark brown and beige. It is a bit expensive but it looks and feels nice and it is also washable which is a plus. Overall a beautifully soft rug that looks and feels nice quality.

Attractive vintage-style mat

I particularly like the low-pile design. It feels soft enough when walking over it, but it isn't so thick that it becomes awkward around doorways. I have found that a useful balance because I want a mat to feel comfortable without having to worry about doors catching on the edge every time it opens. The relatively low profile makes it easier to fit into rooms where there isn't much clearance underneath the door.

Attractive Well Made Area Rug

The pattern on the top side is printed onto the light-coloured polyester tufts rather than being woven, with the coloured pattern only printed onto the ends of the fibres. As a result, the creases at the folds produce lighter shaded lines which need to be worked out by gentle brushing to realign the fibres.

Warm Colours for a Cosy Home

I really like the vintage pattern and brown colours of this rug. It matches my wooden furniture really well and makes the living room look warm and cosy. The 240 x 300 cm size is great, as it covers a large area of my living room without leaving too much empty floor space.

Anchored our big open-plan lounge at last, and it's washable, which still amazes me

The washable bit is the clincher and I still can't quite believe it on a rug this big. It's a fairly low-profile washable design, so the odd spill or muddy footprint can be spot-cleaned easily, and the lighter weight makes a rug this size far more manageable to move, air and clean than a great heavy traditional one. It came rolled and flattened out within a day or two, the beige hides day-to-day marks well between cleans, and it's got a bit of grip so it doesn't slide about on our wood floor. Feels soft and pleasant underfoot without being a deep shag that shows every footprint.
