This works really well!
Long story short - it works really well! It's an underlay made of some tacky - not sticky! - material that seems to grip onto the carpet underneath and the rug above. I have a wheelie office chair that runs back and forth over the rug and this product holds the rug almost perfectly in place. It has crept a short distance - maybe 2 cm - over 3 weeks but it would move that much in 2-3 days before, so this is a great improvement.
It works!!
We had a fairly large rug by the door to protect the carpet but it "walked", ruffled up & was really a pain. Tried carpet tape but that ruined the carpet underneath & didn't work. Finally bought a new carpet & decided to give this a try. I'm so glad I did. I put it down a week ago, it hasn't moved an inch! Even with a mad westie charging in & out & a strong suction hoover over it, plus its made the rug feel thicker & more luxurious.
Brilliant underlay
Bought this underlay for a rug on carpet which used to move about 4 inches per day. Since we stuck the underlay on it hasn’t even moved an inch in several weeks. Fabulous product. Easy to use. Was delivered quickly. It is on the rather more expensive side for underlays, it seems, but it actually works. Have since bought a second one for another rug that used to move and it is now nicely stuck where it should be. Would definitely buy again.
