Very solid construction made from bamboo; smooth finish; no headboard
I was also impressed with the individual components and the way they connect to each other. There are long brass connecting screws for example. The slats which will take the weight of the mattress are made from painted steel (to more or less colour match the bamboo) to give even more strength where it is most needed – these just slot into the side frames. Overall, the assembly looks very straightforward. The legs are also thicker and stronger with 4 point connections at the corners. The legs have colour matched pads to prevent marking of hard floors.
