(2) Before you can realistically set it up, you need to find a suitable place and have a fitting kit ready to go. This will normally take the form of an aerial pole and wall bracket or something similar - together with some DIY skill. Fortunately I had a suitable pole that I stuck into the garden umbrella stand, so I have been able to set the device going temporarily.
Nice compact unit with many features
Overall i've been very happy with the weather station. It all appears well built, setup was very simple, it's easy to mount onto a suitable pole and is easily integrated with various online weather services. Using lithium AA's the battery life has so far been excellent.
Simple to install, accurate, solid state weather station
This has been in operation now for a few weeks. Only much more time will tell how reliable it is. But so far, it was easy to set up including connection to the local network (wired in my case). We had previously had a "mechanical" weather station in the past which worked for several years before failing. Time has now allowed me to set up with a new station. The station attached directly to the existing pole and was simple to align to North. I was surprised to find that the kit included anti bird spikes, which were a little fiddly to attach but seem to be doing their job.
Excellent weather station when set up correctly using up to date firmware.
I had to do some research on the WS90 (the actual weather station collection device), and I discovered via the App, that my WS90 was no less than seven firmware updates behind. Mine was shipped with firmware v.1.53. I stress that it is a MUST to update the firmware on the WS90 because from reading the firmware update notes, it has had a number of significant improvements that have helped to make it more accurate. I warn however, that for some, the update procedure may not be intuitive nor particularly easy if you are not technically aware with downloading the correct software and uploading it
Present for my hubby he loved it, it sends information to the net and you can track who in your area has one, but not the address we’re they are so nice and private

Easy installation
This weather station was very well packed and the instruction manual showed how to assemble it. The monitor linked up with the station eventually after a short search period and since then is working perfectly. I have not yet linked it up to the internet via my WiFi but will do so when I get a spare moment. Very satisfied with the purchase and would recommend this unit to anyone who is interested in weather monitoring.

Setup was not for the faint hearted
Product is excellent though. They just need to make the setup much more user friendly. It’s as if the developers created the onboarding process. Way too complicated.
