This isn’t a certified safe, but I wouldn’t let that put you off if you’re looking for basic security needs. Bolted down and hidden away, I think it’s quite an impressive little product, especially considering the very fair price for the 6.6L.

A Handy Safe for Everyday Security

The safe feels sturdy enough for everyday use. The material is on the thin side, so it doesn’t come across as fire-resistant. I wouldn’t trust it to protect items from heat or flames. It’s not the heaviest-duty safe out there, but for basic home storage, it does the job. The electronic keypad is straightforward to use, and setting a code took little effort. It also has a backup key, which is handy if I forget the code.

Bargain Security

Set up is nice and simple. Just pop in 4 SA batteries (not supplied) and hit the reset button to enter a code up to 8 digits long followed by the B button(I just went for 4 digits).

Perfect for my domestic requirements - easy to set up and 2 keys in case I forget the digital code !

So I have been meaning to get a small neat safe box for home use - just to keep small jewellery items of value in when I'm not wearing them and spare house keys etc. in just for that added layer of security and peace of mind and this is a great sized option. Very sturdy and robust and a pleasant white colour which blends in and doesn't stand out too much and scream SAFE where I have mounted it. Comes with very sturdy screws and wall plugs for mounting and pre cut holes in the safe box - an easy DIY job to install. This safe is good value for money, especially when you compare it to other brands. I wouldn’t say it was heavy duty but perfect for domestic use like car keys, loose cash or jewellery. Its size is just enough and means it can be easily installed in a cupboard for extra security. The code is simple to set up and the two back up keys mean you should never be locked out. Overall I’d say it’s a bargain.

Installation is straightforward, with sensible mounting points and proper bolts provided. The electronic keypad is responsive, pleasantly unfussy and easy to programme with a decently long user code (up to eight digits, for anyone feeling especially paranoid). I’m pleased to see there’s an alarm if someone starts guessing for fun, and the inclusion of override keys relieves the certain anxiety of forgetting both your code and where you wrote down your code.
