A decent motion detecting doorway light with solar, battery & remote control.

This is a pretty bare-bones outdoor doorway solar light. The light is very bright and you have the options of changing the colour temperature from cool to neutral to warm white light with the button on the bottom. There is a motion sensor in the bottom of the unit to detect movement directly under the light. I'm not able to tell you what capacity the battery is since opening up the unit looks impossible without damaging it. The light's frame is made from black plastic and I must admit that it does look a little unfinished in terms of the quality of the frame. The edges look like they are lacki

Impressively bright and lots of options to customize it for your needs

Overall, I’m impressed with the Ofuray solar flood light. It’s a significant improvement over previous technology, providing a bright, wide beam of coverage with customizable options to suit your needs. I’m particularly impressed with its brightness; my previous solar lighting experiences have been underwhelming. We’ve used other solar lights that offered minimal light and weren’t practical as the sole light source. This one is different. We mounted it in our backyard to illuminate our yard when we return from the rear garage. I’m impressed by several of its features.

Large solar flood light

I've placed this above my garden shed to provide light if I need to go in there at night time. Because I don't need that area permanantly lit, I opted to use the motion sensor option. However, I found that when using this option, the light never actually fully turns off - it stays on with a dim brightness setting, then brightens when motion is detected. This isn't really a problem as such, I just feel that it would be better to be fully off so as to extend it's battery life.

Good brightness, responsive sensor and handy remote

The remote is very useful and actually essential if you need to change settings. Once the light is up, it is much easier being able to change settings from the ground rather than fiddling about with the unit itself. The motion sensor has also worked well for me, which is obviously one of the main things with a light like this. It comes on when it should and makes the area much easier to deal with after dark.

Bright lights and good coverage with decent battery life

The one thing I’m concerned about is that the mounting bracket is set at an upwards angle, which is good for light distribution but means that it does limit the light that can get to the solar panels which are on top of the light. Before I installed it I left the solar panels in a spot inside that would get a lot of light during the day, and so far it has always worked but time will tell if the solar panels are exposed to enough daylight during autumn and winter.
