In the shower it doesn't budge unless you want it to. It rotates smoothly and slowly (you won't spin like a carousel unless you really want to). I have a small shower cubicle and can sit under the shower head, and have only to lean all the way back to rinse my legs and it doesn't wobble at all. On high pain days when I want a hot shower I just turn the heat on and sit, relaxing while the water pours over me, as though I were in a spa.
