This standing desk has a pneumatic lift system that works beautifully. With a simple press of the foot pedal, the desk rises smoothly to your desired height. Simply lift your foot off of the foot pedal when you reach your desired height and the table stops lifting. To lower the top, you press on the foot pedal and apply pressure to the work surface to force it down. This is a desk with adjustable height, a tilt top, and small wheels. It arrives ready to assemble , with a small allen key included (the only tool needed for assembly) , and a paper manual. The assembly instructions are reasonably easy to follow, took about 10 minutes or so, and there aren't many parts. The height is adjusted by pressing the small foot pedal near the base, and works well, just release the pedal to set the height. The perfect desk for couches

The wheels under the frame are incredibly slim and this allows it to slide under couches and beds really easily, where most stands similar to this just can't go. The adjustable height is brilliant and has a nice range of height so you can actually use this standing up, though I personally use it strictly for couch use. I also love how you can change the tilting angle of the work surface too - my wife likes this as it enables her to use hers for drawing at a comfortable angle.
