A very comfortable and well made mattress
We had our first sleep on it last night and it was extremely comfortable. I woke up with no aches or pains and had a really good nights sleep. I am quite a restless sleeper and I didn’t manage to raise the normal growl of discontent from my wife so it does appear to isolate movement. Now obviously the larger the mattress, the more effective this is but even on a double size mattress the isolation works well.
Compact package expands into a massive comfy mattress
After an initial rapid expansion the mattress gradually continues to expand to its full volume, the instructions advise leaving it for 48-72 hours to reach its full potential. As this is for a spare bedroom that wasn’t a problem for us. The mattress is very thick and I find the combination of pocket springs and memory foam to be excellent for comfort and support. It’s firm in its core support but also yields for gentle contour shaping. Comfortable and Supportive Mattress
The 10-inch depth gives the mattress a substantial feel, and the breathable design helps prevent it from feeling overly warm during the night. It also arrived in a convenient form for getting it into the bedroom before allowing it to settle.
A definite bargain
The real problem with reviewing this is that what you really want to know about a mattress is how it lasts and how the foam and springs holds up over time, which I cant review at this stage, however there is another way to look at it, you may have paid 5 times less than you would from a mattress store, so you can replace this 5 times as often should you have issues, and when you look at it like that, its a bit of a bargain I think.
Heavy to move
Unrolling this heavy cylinder out of the vacuum packaging required quite a bit of pulling and tearing at the plastic wrap. The fabric expanded rapidly, taking shape within hours, though a distinct foam odour lingered in the bedroom for two whole days. Lying down on the surface reveals a firmer support level than anticipated, keeping the spine aligned rather than sinking deeply into the foam. Rolling over during the night causes minimal disturbance to the other side of the bed, which stops partner wake-ups.
