Once this first layer of incredibly thick polythene covering was removed, it rapidly expanded into a very thick mattress. There are no odd noises or odours. It ends up being almost flawless. Compact package expands into a massive comfy mattress

After an initial rapid expansion the mattress gradually continues to expand to its full volume, the instructions advise leaving it for 48-72 hours to reach its full potential. This is genuinely, the best mattress ive ever slept on. I have scoliosis, so buying a mattress made me nervous. But this is so so good, easy to get out the bag and unroll, definitely let it inflate for 2 days minimum. But seriously great bed !
