I must say, I'm impressed with the value here. I don't have a thermocouple to validate the temperature but temperature PID control isn't especially tough and I don't have any reason to think it's miles off. Honestly, there's not much to a unit like this, they're all going to be pretty similar. It has a little switching supply, temperature control, lcd driver, and that's about it - but that's all you need. Really good value soldering station

In use it is very good, making use of the temperature adjustment to allow for heavier work pieces than I would normally do, soldering up joints of a HO gauge train track. Solder flows easy and the hand piece stand supplied is good for cleaning the tip using either the supplied foil or sponge, nice!!

Great soldering station, especially for the price

I am an active electronics hobbyist and when my old soldering station died, I bought this one. It’s fantastic. Heats up fast, digital display is super easy to see, and it cools itself down when you haven’t used it for awhile so that the tip doesn’t just bake at full temperature. The stand is a little funny, with the sponge located so that you have to access it at a bit of an angle. But really nothing to complain about. Very very nice iron for the money.
