Klymit Insulated Static V Sleeping Pad
On my last wild camping trip to a loch in the South West of Scotland, I took my new Klymit Insulated Static V Sleeping Pad with me and it turned out to be absolutely perfect. It was lightweight and so comfy, it was so much warmer than my previous more expensive sleeping pad by another top brand. I had thought about buying this pad for a long time and now I'm so glad I did purchase it. When it came time to pack up the Klymit mat deflated quickly and took no time at all to pack away. I have to say that I am very impressed with this purchase, so much so I am now thinking about buying myself the n
Comfy and Warm... A Little on the Chunky Side
It's pretty comfortable. I slept on this for 3 nights in grassy and then twiggy forest floors and all nights I slept like a literal log. Heads up, I sleep like a log in most places but still, fair olay. The V slots down the middle give it a bitttt of an awkward feel at times if you're in a certain positions especially. I sleep on my side and occasionally felt a bit awkward with the V slots. Not enough to stop you sleeping, but enough to make you change positions.
Not bad at all
So far only used this once (at home in my living room). Doing 3+ month South America tour with 40% of it camping. This is very comfortable and I suspect very warm - as I woke up sweltering, so will probably use my sleeping bag more as a duvet cover. It didn't lose any air and has now been 'up' for 2 weeks. I reckon it's going to be one of my best buys!
Purchased from Trailside - Great company to deal with. Amazing sleeping pad.
The klymit sleeping pad... Well what a piece of kit and Im really glad I purchased... We do a lot of camping, normally travelling by train and keeping things light is important. we were using standard flocked double bed which are pretty heavy, take up quite a bit of room and they also they have zero insulation.. which we found out about when we decided to go camping in early spring.. normally I don't thank my partner for packing a ridiculous amount of extra clothes, but this time I was glad.
Fits a big guy, very picky side sleeper! Tested at low temp. Klymit is a serious group of camp-perfectors
-slick. I've heard that it's slippery. Listen, they're right. I thought "peh, who cares? Am I gonna sleep on a hill?" well, our first night was on a hill. Every move, except for flexing a single ankle at a time, had me slipping downward. This was a very annoying experience. We could have been smarter and prioritized finding a flat spot, and probably anyone would slip on that incline (my buddy did and had military gear), but hey I can't lie. It's kinda slick. Not so you would notice normally, but with a slick bag and any hill, you'll notice.
Perfect!!
Was a little dubious when I first bought this as I was looking for a good 3 season roll mat that was also lightweight and this seemed to good to be true. When it first arrived I was amazed at how small and lightweight it was. I have only had the pleasure to use this once so far, it inflated really well and was used as my barrier in my hammock at -1. It kept me fantastically warm. I would definitely recommend it. Excellent value for money
Pretty good
Very warm, packs small, easy to inflate and deflate. I found a bit of a tendency of it to roll you to one side if you were slightly off-centre which took a bit of getting used to. I actually wanted
