I washed and conditioned my hair, squeezed out all the excess water and then liberally applied a hair mask and then used the shower cap provided and whacked this on over the top. It says to use it between 20-40 mins so I went for half an hour for my first try on level 8 heat and it wasn’t too hot at all!

10/10 for this heated cap! The next best thing to salon steamed hair and so easy to use. I honestly can’t complain for the price I paid. It cuts out for a short while when it gets too hot but doesn’t stay off for long! My best investment on my new hair journey so far! Fits on my head no problem even whilst wearing shower cap underneath!
Worth buying if your hair is dry
I have low porosity curly hair and as I grow it long, it sometimes feels dry on the ends. I was getting tired of it, so I did some research to find out how best to hydrate my type of hair and several times it was mentioned that heat will open the cuticles and allow deep conditioning masks to penetrate. I was a bit dubious to be honest, thinking, is it safe to have an electric thing on my head? But I gave it a shot and it worked excellently, from the first try. I washed and rinsed my hair, then combed a nice thick treatment through it, then put my hair on top of my head (tip - don't wind it too

Gets nice and hot on high setting. Very easy to use. Very good value for money. It could do with being a little bit bigger if you have very long thick hair it might be a bit of a squeeze.
