Versatile lighting with smart controls: a quality floor lamp for any room

An interesting adjustable floor lamp

Assembly was straightforward with the lamp screwing together in sections. Care has to be made not to cross-thread anything, but I put it together quite quickly. The centre column is then tightened securely into the base using the spanner, and once assembled, the lamp feels stable. The shade also has to be assembled, which is a little fiddly

Stylish and functional.

The ability to move the lamp shade up and down is a very good feature. It's especially useful when reading a book on the couch. You can change the brightness and color of the light without getting up. Also, the preset modes on the remote (reading, working, etc.) make things much easier. It remembers your last settings when you turn the lamp off. A timer can also be set, and it turns off automatically after, say, an hour. At 2 kg, its base is quite sturdy. It doesn't wobble even on carpets; you don't have to worry about it tipping over if you have pets or children.

A refreshingly different take on a floor lamp

I’m using this floor lamp in my music studio to light my keyboards, and it suits the job extremely well. What sets it apart is the fixed-angle boom arm with an adjustable length. The lamp and shade hang from the end of the arm and can be raised or lowered, which makes it easy to position the light directly over the centre of the keyboard rather than lighting the room in a general way.
