HOWEVER - ignore any description that says you can be connected to any power supply with a USB interface including a computer - you simply can't. Set on highest brightness and depending on colour selected it draws 2.21 amps peak which is way above what most laptops and PCs can sink. Use an appropriately plug in mains power supply.
Good value for money - useful piece of kit
Simple to put together and attach to table. The clamp isn't the best quality and initially I thought it let the overall product down... but things improved with trial and error. At first the whole lamp seemed very unstable if moved quickly but I found if I moved the arm holding it lower down, close to the clamp it remained stable. I then tried the light on a slightly thinner desk and it made the world of difference - completely stable, perfect! So I have updated my review and changed it from three to five stars.
Strong attachment
Well made, metal arms and clamp. Light is great, so far had to turn light down as very bright when first turned on. Magnifier is good when looked through straight on but distorts from other angles. Great for cross-stitch. Mine is attached to a cushioned laptray and my wip is on a table stand.
