Great Pump for 18v Dewalt

I needed a pump to empty a couple of large water features before the winter freeze. This pump emptied my 2.6m long woodland stream in about 5 minutes. About 100 litres, pumped 1.5m uphill across 20m of lawn, to the surface water drain. Used 3m of 3/4" hose for the inlet and regular 15mm garden hose on the outlet. Self primed, uphill, from dry within a couple of seconds. Used 1 indicator light on 4ah battery. The supplied strainer has a large flat face and allowed me to pump out the sump right to the bottom without getting leaves into the pump. A brilliant piece of kit. So glad I spent the time

No dewalt battery compatible

So, when you ask the useless AI, it says this is compatible with dewalt batteries. It's not, but it is compatible with Makita batteries

Impressive

Bought this to drain a hot tub. Not sure what hose connection fitting threads are on the sides, but I couldn't get any of my UK plastic Gardena stuff to connect to it. In the end, I just slipped a 1" rubber garden hose (approx 2 metres long) over the inlet tread and a 1" rubber garden hose over the outlet thread. It works a treat and I was able to suck the water straight up into an empty pipe from about 2 feet or three feet above the water. Very impressed, and the fact that this takes a standard 18v 5ah battery is a bonus.

Easily lifts water up 5 metres - probably more if needed

Very effective pump at a good price. Very handy that it uses Dewalt batteries. In my situation it pumps water from a stream up about 5 metres with a good flow. Fills a 168 litre water butt in about 20 minutes. The flat filter on the inlet is a good feature - I laid it on a tile in the stream to prevent contamination with leaves etc. Straightforward to fit a standard garden hose onto the pump with a few easily obtained accessories. Also effective for use as a garden hose. My water butt is connected from the tap to a soaker hose.

excellent pump drain the sytem quick,like vented cyluinder central heating sytem radiater etc flow rate is best .as heating engineer would highly recommend it .
