Very effective, thorough clean.

It's absolutely worth the money, ESPECIALLY if it's on sale/offer. The suction is so powerful and this proved that all of my carpets that I believed to be clean were in fact not. All the pile is back up on my rugs, I filled a whole pod just from one slow pass around the house. Had to switch to lower suction on the deep pile rugs or I couldn't push it around 😅. Love the way it comes apart to make cleaning the stairs easier. It's saved me so much hassle lugging a big thing around and it's so efficient. Long cord too which really helps! All round brilliant vacuum

So, I've had this new Shark for a week now, and used it 2/3 times. It took a lot of looking and reading of reviews to decide on my 'downstairs' vacuum, but in the end I decided to pay more than I wanted, to get something I wanted! I have a Vax upstairs, and it only gets used about once a month (there's only 2 adults here, and we don't make much mess!) - but it's heavy beast and not suitable for me to use downstairs, which I do more frequently. We bought it about 12/13 years, and yes it has huge suction and brilliant pick-up, it's just a very heavy machine...but going strong even now. I hope th

Great vacuum

Really pleased with this Hoover. It's light and easy to use, has good suction, and picks up dust well. It does carpet really well and It feels sturdy. Cleaning is much quicker now however sometimes it can get a little stuck and need to pull quite hard to move it again. Great value for the price. It's easy to clean and disassemble.

Overall good performance

There are a couple of things that drive me nuts, which I can live with, but feel they could have been better designed. The first is doing the stairs while holding the canister - the hose isn't long enough to angle the brush around the corners without having to create quite a bit of tension, so it gets quite uncomfortable after a while on both wrists. I could plug the brush onto the handle, but that would mean a lot of bending and probably an aggravated back.

Only vacuum you need

There are mixed views on weight. The overall vacuum is heavy to lift, but using it feels very smooth and maneuverable. The lift away feature makes it a lot lighter and you can do all of your stairs from top to bottom.
