Realistic and great value
The flames are amongst the best we've seen on electric fires and we have them on every night. We've not seen any increase on our energy bill for this. I love that you can adjust the brightness of the flames too.

This is a revised product review.
was scathing BUT I have since had an electrician friend investigate my original concerns, having seen for himself the poor display. He then had a look in the back and discovered that one of the supporting rests that holds the rotating effects bar, was not fixed securely enough and had twisted off its mount slightly. He then tightened the relevant screw and immediately solved the problem.
Really nice flame effects and good heat output.
The flame effects are excellent and the heat output is very good, I have not had any of the noise issues with the flame effects or fan heater that have been mentioned by some others.
