So I should preface this saying that I do actually work for Costa
As for the steam arm, you are honestly better just getting rid of that plastic attachment - I don't really know why it's there as if you want to steam, texture or froth milk correctly having a massive wide nozzle is a bad idea :P the steam arm should've been full metal and about twice as long so it could reach the bottom of the jug for correctly steaming milk. You can make cappuccinos and flat whites with this, which obviously in turn means you can make most other types of coffee :P
