Six shelves, plenty of room
They go up to about seven feet (2.1 m), so you need room to assemble them spread out. The bottom shelves have an adjustable foot for uneven spaces, which is handy. I laid the first shelf at the lowest position just to get a solid foundation. The spacers come in two halves — clip one above where you want the line, slide it down until it clicks, then do the same on the other side. Lay the shelf panel over the top and give each corner a firm tap. Then screw the upper pole sections on and repeat for the rest.
