It is a painted finish, not powder-coated or galvanized. Mine arrived with a few small chips on the corners of the shelves right out of the box. I’ve had this for 5 months now. Despite the constant Irish humidity, there is no rust yet, although I will keep you updated on that.

These are excellent sturdy shelving units. I was asked to make some shelves in the airing cupboard for towels and duvet covers etc. I didn’t want fixed shelves as our boiler is behind so wanted easy removal for access. I opted for this one as we already had a small chest in there and the footprint of this one fitted perfectly, also the depth is deeper than others advertised.
Great quality and price
Its easy to build and easy to modify if needed in the future. Its exactly what I was looking for to store all my moter skill equipment. With the wheels its easy to push around so I can get to my storage space at the back.
Strong, easy to put together and good value
These shelves are great and good value for the money. I bought two sets to store my fabrics on. They were dead easy to put together even for me on my own and I'm not that strong anymore. They are not too thick so not obtrusive but seem pretty strong and love that they are easily adjustable.
