These are narrow console tables with sockets and USB ports built into the top. At 15cm to 18cm deep they fit behind a sofa, along a hall or on a tight landing. You get somewhere to charge a phone or plug in a lamp without a trailing extension lead.

Lengths run from 120cm to 200cm depending on the model and size option. Behind a sofa, go for a table a little shorter than the sofa so it doesn't stick out at the ends. Most are about 80cm high. That's close to the back height of a typical sofa, so a phone left on top is within easy reach. Check the cord length (1.5m to 2m) against your nearest wall socket.
