Sturdy bed frame.
This was on sale for £108 when I got it. I got a single bed frame, not a king size. This review is obviously for a single bed. The frame of the bed is made from bamboo, so great for sustainability and the environment. The bottom part of the bed is made from metal, so it makes it secure and able to take more weight than one person could put on it normally. Assembly was pretty straight forward, all in all it took my son about an hour to assemble with me supervising. This bed frame looks really nice once assembled and has a clean, natural style that fits well in most bedrooms. The bamboo finish gives it a slightly warmer feel compared to standard metal frames. It feels sturdy overall, especially with the metal slats providing good support for the mattress. I like the added height as well, which gives some useful underbed storage space. It’s fairly straightforward to put together, although it does take a bit of time to get everything lined up properly. Once built, it stays stable and doesn’t creak or make noise during use. Quality parts | Sleek look | More sustainable than wood
The choice of bamboo as the wood is both practical and sustainable (if farmed & transported in environmentally-friendly ways). It is not an instant indicator of sustainability but bamboo does grow faster than trees and can be replenished faster. It is also a very good choice for structural materials due to its inherent strength. However, 'knots' are very different, coming from the nodes of the bamboo rather than branches. If you prefer gnarly wood with grains and swirls then you may not instantly like bamboo as it is a much more chic and uniform look.
