I wanted it for Icing sugar as its a bit of a pain sieving and weighing it for butter icing, and as long as you remove the mixing blade it does a good job. If you leave the blade in it takes ages as you have to have it on slow speed so as not to cover the kitchen in icing sugar..
Great addition to KitchenAid baking.
Basically you pour you ingredients into the top bowl. It measures weight as your pouring the flour etc in. Then it drops under the scale to the sifting part which sifts as you mix in the main bowl.

I've wanted this attachment for ages but couldn't justify the money. With this on offer I thought why not and am so glad I bought it. The quality of the dough after using this attachment to sieve the flour is unbelievable, so much better than before, Yes I know you can use a normal sieve but the flour goes everywhere, this attachment solves all of that plus you can use the scale on its own as well as without the sieve so its win win all round. One bit of advice is - take a picture of how it is packed in the box as it took me ages to get it back in again for storage. At this price you can't los

Fantastic piece of kit. This attachment weighs and sifts flour without any problems with great results.the 3sections of the sifter are easy to assemble and fit on your mixer. You put the flour in the top container and watch the scales till you have the correct weight.Start the mixer, turn the button on the side of the sifter and the flour is sifted into the mixer bowel perfect.
