So, as in other more recent Ryobi offerings this is a well made cordless tool. I have some of their stuff going back 12 years now, all of which have been well battered during my house renovation. They are all still going strong despite the fact that the later tools are far better made. In a nutshell I know from personal experience that unless you are unlucky, this tool will last a long time and there's little to be gained buying more expensive tools from the likes of Makita. Was looking for a nice small handheld battery operated sander and reviewed many before making final decision, the main factor was that I already have a few Ryobi tools and am extremely pleased with them and their performance. Having the tools being able to use the same battery was a massive bonus, already had a spare battery so no need to purchase another. I did read that some users had issues loading and unloading the battery, yes it is a little tight but fits perfect, I have no issues in that area...the sander is extremely easy to use, with a push of a button it is on or off, the sanddisks a

Great sander.

I would recommend this, especially if you have other Ryobi ONE+ products. It just makes sense for the battery re-use. It is incredibly powerful and great for sanding down large areas quickly. I couldn't tell you the battery life, but I sanded the kitchen walls several times without having to think about charging.

Great tool

Simple to use, even for beginners to diy. A handing tool to have in your tool box for all sorts of jobs.
