Nice quality
This stair gate is pleasantly heavy-duty to keep our 2 year old grandson safe during sleepovers and the quality of finish is good, with no sharp edges. I needed one that would fit between walls and not within a door frame so the extra width was essential for me. The fittings are robust and the screws that actually touch the wall have a soft rubber coating which is non-slip but doesn't leave any marks. Well worth the money.
Easy to fix and super strong
When the gate arrived the instructions were not the easiest to understand. With a little bit of common sense and looking at the components it seems quite straight forward. Just ,make sure the red grommets are not visible when tightening up. Once in position it does not seem that secure but once fastened it locks tight in the aperture. As described it is a pressure fit so it is at its most effective when fastened. Glad we went for this type as it does not include any drilling, so the walls are still in good condition. Would definitely recommend.
