One improvement/suggestion I offer to the manufacturers that I would make to this to make it better is if the lid and base was connected together with a couple of hinges and a lid stay hinge so that you can lift the lid and it stays up in place rather than having to lift it completely off then re align it back in place.

I like everything about the bed, except for one thing. That one thing is that the fabric cover is fixed onto the bed, meaning there is no removable cover for washing. This means that cleaning the bed is frankly a bit of a faff. For a major clean, I need to use my carpet spot cleaner (or carper shampooer) to remove dirt and then leave it to dry before the dog can use it again, and in between cleans, spray it with fabric freshener to keep the dog smells at bay. It can also be wiped over with a damp cloth to remove light soiling marks, but truthfully, I personally prefer a cover I can remove and

Excellent item, highly recommend
The storage area is quite shallow, but its large enough to store a few toys and brushes etc, and the sofa appears to be very comfortable, even days later the novelty hasn't worn off, and it is rarely unoccupied. Size wise two of my large adult cats can comfortably sleep on it, so I would say it's easily big enough for a small breed dog.
