I was a bit confused initially about having to build the bed in the first place, as it arrived in a tight vacuum packed bag. At this price, I was surprised it didn't come ready to use. It isn't difficult to assemble - just unzip the zip all around the base and put the side pillows in the pockets and then zip back up. The base pillow has a separate zipped cover. Makes it easy and smaller to wash regularly if required, I suppose.
