An excellent addition to my Govee lighting set up
I’m really impressed with this Govee floor lamp overall. The brightness and colour options are fantastic, and the RGBIC effects look amazing in my son’s room, especially with the music sync modes. It feels premium once set up, and having Alexa and Matter support makes it really convenient easy to control along with the other Govee lighting in the room.
Perfect addition to the Govee ecosystem - the TV sync is genuinely impressive.
Already being in the Govee app made setup instant. Found it in seconds, connected in under a minute, and it immediately synced with the TV lighting. Watching films with the lamp responding to what's on screen is genuinely impressive and adds to the immersive feel in a way that's hard to explain until you've seen it.
Great but with room for improvement
The app is very comprehensive and could even be a bit overwhelming at first! I was already used to it because I have the Christmas tree light set. Still, it's very well put together and works reliably. There are SO many options! Luckily you can set favourites for the ones you like best, and you can make your own settings too so it can all be tailored to your own preferences, which is what I've started doing with mine.
Minimalist smart floor lamp with impressive brightness and excellent app customisation
The RGBIC lighting is where it really stands out though. Colours are vibrant and smooth, with plenty of customisation available through the app. There are loads of preset scenes and effects, but you can also fully customise colours, brightness and transitions yourself. Music sync modes are responsive as well and actually work better than expected.
Yet another excellent Govee product, recommended!
The same goes for customizability, as the app works great as is to be expected from Govee products, and it offers tons of color and transition options including music effects and scene modes. As the Govee ecosystem is known to sync well with other Govee products, it can also sync your other Govee lights so they all work together creating a nice ambiance throughout the house. Another thing I really like is that since this floor lamp has Matter compatibility, it was a breeze to integrate it in Home Assistant to enable full control through it.
