This product is everything it promises to be. Prior to having a seat extender I had a dog blanket designed to protect the back seat. I never liked it because it was loose and when the dog jumped into the car, it would cause him to slide. Not only is the extender more stable than a blanket or cover, but the post that separates the backseat from the front compartment is the feature I like most. Several other extenders that I looked at didn’t have this feature. It keeps the dog from crossing over from the back to the front seat.

Update April 2026. Almost a year since using this for my 85 lb Lab on a daily basis. Still holding up like new. A great product! This seat extender is very good quality. Has great coverage for the back seat of my Toyota Highlander that has captains chairs. The bottom is very sturdy. The mesh section that allows the pup to see into the front is a great feature. Also great is the way it easily folds over if an adult needs to share the back with the pup. Very happy with this product.
Well made and sturdy back seat extender
This is a very sturdy and well made back seat extender item. I wanted to have a good firm cover over the back bucket seats when they are folded over so my dog would be on top of the extender and he could move around freely in the back of the vehicle without damaging seats etc (and wanted something firm enough that he would not fall down in the middle of the folded over back seats). My dog is small so this works well for him.
