A nice upgrade, looks great

I ordered this small 42", black industrial/farmhouse style ceiling fan to replace an old fan in a small kitchen. This fan is modern yet has a vintage look to it that blends well with most types of decor. The black wire cage surrounds 2 bright, E26 bulbs, and I used the Edison lights that were included with the fan. It uses up to 60 watt bulbs, and is not compatible with a dimmer switch, but I don't have one anyway so that doesn't bother me. The fan blades are reversible, with a brown, wood-grain walnut on one side and black on the other. I chose the black color to go with our gray cabinets and

Well Balanced and Quiet Farmhouse Style Fan

The remote has a nice set of features I hadn't seen before, like a reverse button, so you don't have to climb up and hit a switch on the fan. Kind of tricky if you have vaulted ceilings. There's also a tiny button-press beep feature that can be turned off if it gets annoying. With 6 speeds, this fan spins fast and moves the air with no wobbling out of the box, so we didn't have to balance any blades, which can be a pain.

Great fan, assembly required

Lovely fan, obviously with assembly required. The only reason I haven't given 5 stars is that it's quite tight to get the electronics back in the hood without pinching anything and for some reason it came with wire nuts instead of a BS rated connector (connector block or wago-type)
