Great Space Saver
Beyond its clever design, this is a great mower overall. It offers good adjustability for cutting levels, making it easy to get the lawn just how you like it. Setup and use are straightforward, and it consistently delivers a clean, effective cut, even right up to the edges of our decking and shed, minimizing the need for additional trimming.
Light and easy to store in a small space
In use, it is light and easy to handle. I like the either-handed power switch/levers as I can take either hand off the controls to manipulate the cable as I go. The grassbox holds a good amount of clippings and attaches quite securely and easily to the mower. It even has a handy little indicator built-in to show when it is getting full. As mowers go, it is also reasonably quiet (probably as there are no gears etc to generate mechanical noise - the blade is simply bolted onto the motor spindle).
Good purchase
Having given up my petrol mower I purchased this for its weight and good storage .I have to say its excellent a good clean cut easy to use and with the roller on i can get to the edges without scalping them,plus it stripes the lawn too.all in all I'm very pleased. Would recommend.
It’s Flymo, it’s good.
It’s Flymo, so I expect it to be good. And it is. Had the usual “build it yourself “ routine, but you kind of expect that nowadays. The instructions are clear enough as to what goes where and it does actually fold up to be quite small, just what I need. When it comes to actually doing its job - cutting grass - it does it extremely well. Perfect for a small to medium sized garden. It picks up nearly all of the cut grass, and the grass box is very easy to empty. I love the height adjustment, it’s so easy to do, just one lever and 5 settings. For the price, it’s incredibly good value for money.
So far so good
I have been using this lawnmower for a few months now and I enjoy the experience. It is light and easy to use, convenient to store using the fold-down facility (which doesn't need great strength to do) and which cuts the grass very well. I chose the model with a mains power cable as the battery ones seemed to be getting a lot of poor reviews, even with well known and respected manufacturers. Maybe this is old stock but if that means that it is still solidly built and reliable then so what? I can recommend it based upon the performance and ease of use so far.
