Firm and supportive with the right give.

For the price it’s great and would recommend, we let it air out for 24 hours before use and was fine, did then try not to touch it etc except night. We both love it, I was worried a 10 inch mattress wouldn’t be comfortable but it sure is. Not sure how much it has affect sleep with a new bed and also now a memory foam pillow but we find if very comfortable and so does our 5 year old.

I bought a firm mattress since I'm tall and weight almost 14 stone and had left a dent in my medium firm mattress. However, it is a bit Too firm for my liking and have had to buy a soft mattress topper to go over the top. That said it's not going to dent easily like my last, medium firm mattress did so I hope to get around 9 years out of it cos my medium firm mattress only lasted me 6 years. It's excellent value for money and quite thick too. A third of the price of my old mattress but just as good quality. There was a slight smell apon opening but it was gone within a few hours.
