Lash extensions, brow work and nails all come down to seeing fine detail for an hour or more at a time. A half moon lamp is built for exactly that. Why the half moon shape
A normal lamp or a ring light lights the face from one direction. Lean in with tweezers and your hand blocks part of it. A half moon arc lights from above and from both sides at once, which cuts those shadows down a lot. Angle it so the light falls on the lash line rather than straight into the client's face.

Brightness
Brightness is given in lumens. Many lash lamps go up to around 1,800 to 2,000 lumens at full power. You rarely need full power. What matters more is that the lamp dims smoothly, so you can turn it down for a client who finds bright light uncomfortable.
Colour temperature
Most lamps switch between warm (around 3000K), natural and cool (around 6500K) light. Cool light shows up fine lashes and adhesive clearly. Natural light is better when you need to judge a brow tint or a nail colour. Warm light is gentler on the client during a long appointment.

Floor, desk or rolling base
